The Alaska Airlines Story
The great states of Alaska and Hawai'i have a lot in common. The jaw-dropping natural beauty. The integrity of our people. The strength of our communities. That's probably why Alaska Airlines feels so at home here.
Our company got its start in Alaska back in 1932. Over the last 80 years, we've grown from just two Alaskan bush planes to a fleet of more than 160 aircraft. But our business isn't just about flying airplanes.
It’s about serving people.
Like our namesake state, we understand Hawai'i's special reliance on transportation and tourism to keep its economy and communities strong.
Which is why we consider it our responsibility to offer the most frequent flights from four islands, feature the lowest fares for kama'aina to travel to the Mainland, and sponsor local events and non-profit organizations. It’s just part of being a good neighbor.
We are more than proud to serve Hawai'i.
Mahalo for welcoming us to your island home.
